I think I've figured it out: why girls who don't have a guy, will never have a guy. Now my answer is part of a process, an answer of the moment, subject to revision, temporary.
the longer we don't have a guy, the longer we are in neither need nor want of a guy. it is this rejection, this lack, this disappointment that strengthens our so-called "independence" and "strength." There is no one for us to depend on, so we are independent. And because we've become ever more so independent, by the every second, it seems as if we have neither need nor want of a man. then why would a man come our way, except to become an auxiliary trinket?
For girls, this is a vicous cycle, comparable to prostitution and drugs.
Certainly, there is the healthy kind of independence and strength, the kind that comes from choice. "You're on your own cause you can and want to, not because you have to, not because there is no one around. You have all the loving."
Who has all the loving?
